My husband and I are homeless. We have one car. I just dropped out of Nursing College at LCC because I did not have the $900.00 they said I owed for fall semester. I was just trying to better my life. My husband drives full time for uber and lyft, and I just got a job as CNA at Sensations Dementia Nursing Home. We are both looking for second jobs. We are both struggling with severe depression. I am feeling completely hopeless and lost. We just got on Medicaid this winter and are concerned even though we are really not living in a stable setting that we might owe taxes for last year. Which I am not sure how that works because my husband car was continuously broken down all summer and I did not work from second week in October until last week in December. Is there anything like section eight housing for a married couple? Are there any transitional houses for people that do work? I have been looking on Craigslist for a room to rent but that feels unsafe to me. Any suggestion would help.
