Mission Statement

"The Cornerstone Foundation is a faith ministry with a mission to keep all people safe, fed, housed and clothed. We provide help to the community with a soup kitchen, two shelters, a food pantry, clothing bank, youth/outreach center and many vital annual initiatives."

Description

Cornerstone overnight shelter is located at 1 Prospect Street in Rockville.


Clairvaux House is located on School Street and is for homeless mothers with children.


It is owned by St.
Bernard Church and operated by Cornerstone. 

Staff is on Duty from 5:30 pm to 8:00 am daily at the overnight shelter.


They provide supervised shelter for the homeless, including a warm bed, laundry facilities, and a hot shower.

Their facility is dormitory-style as the beds are separated by dividers to accommodate a varying ratio of both men and women.


There are 15 beds.


The Shelter is not a "residence," but rather an emergency location for overnight lodging.


The Shelter is not open during the day, however, our Soup Kitchen at 15 Prospect Street serves as a Day Room for those we serve in the Shelter.

For Shelter availability, all calls must go through the Greater Hartford - Coordinated Access Network (GH-CAN) by calling 2-1-1
