Description

Y.e.s. provides community based services such as; emergency shelter care, counseling, first time offenders program, school based services & foster care.
The Youth Emergency Shelter was established in 1971, when a group of concerned citizens formed a steering committee to resolve the problem of abused children being detained in the county jails.
The facility was donated by the Regional Health Authority and funding from various grants were procured to provide emergency shelter care services to Pittsburg, McIntosh, and Latimer Counties.
The agency is Community-Based and governed by a Board of Directors comprised of members from the communities they serve.
