Description
The galax hope house ministries inc. began operating in 1987 under the Church of the Good Shepherd.
In 1989, the Hostel joined with Mt. Rogers Mental Health to enlarge its services to the homeless.
In October 1993, this ministry of the church was incorporated as the Hostel of the Good Shepherd, Inc. and began serving as an emergency housing and homeless shelter for those in Galax, Carroll County, Grayson County and surrounding counties.
