Hello! I am a therapist in Lumberton NC and I work at a Facility Based Crisis center. I have a young lady who was recently paroled after 14 years. She is a sex-offender. She is taking the required classes, attempting to find a job and housing. We have so few resources in Southeastern North Carolina. I fear that this young lady, who has and is still paying her debt to society, may not make it. She is being treated with me for severe depression. She could benefit from housing in a major city which would give her access to public transportation. She could most likely get a service job because she was previously working as a waitress before her family forced her to leave. Do you know of any organizations, half way houses, or resource lists that could help me direct her to meet her needs?
