Description

Helping Hands provides services for Johnson County residents in two main ways.
First, the Family Service Center can provide individuals and families with food vouchers, clothing vouchers, and payment assistance for utilities, rent, gas costs for medical appointments, and prescription costs.
Homeless individuals with small children may also receive a voucher for a motel room for one night from the Family Service Center.
The Family Service Center is open Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9-12.
The second main type of service provided by Helping Hands is the Women's Shelter.
Women and children who are in crisis situations, or who are stranded in this area, may be provided with temporary food and shelter.
