Description
The mission of Family Promise of Greater Orlando is to mobilize volunteers in the faith community to help homeless families achieve and sustain self-sufficiency and to advocate for adequate housing and support services in Orange and Seminole counties.The program is a collaborative effort of congregations of all faiths taking turns, a week at a time, to provide overnight lodging and meals, a staffed Family Day Center that gives families an address and phone number while without a permanent home address, and a close working relationship with established local agencies to find housing and, if needed, jobs or job training and better-paying jobs.
