Description

Aspen Homeless Shelter's overnight shelter is open during Aspen's cold winter months of December thru March. Guests may check in at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 533 E. Main St., Aspen, between 9:00-10:00 p.m., and check out is at 7:00 a.m. Guests are expected to help with chores before checking out. Showers and case management are available at the shelter, and each guest receives a sack breakfast and lunch in the morning. Aspen Homeless Shelter also operates an Evening/Dinner Shelter at the Schultz Health and Human Services Building, 405 Castle Creek Road, Aspen, in the day room from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Showers, laundry facilities, computer access, case management, and connection to appropriate services are available, along with a hot meal.

Guests must sign in by 6:00 p.m. to receive dinner. An emergency room physician from Aspen Valley Hospital provides monthly wellness checks.
