Description

Genesis House, a project of Aid to Inmate Mothers (AIM) is a small transitional home for women recently released from prison. It provides case management on site; help obtaining basic documents and clothing, links with medical care, help with the job search. Residents must submit to random drug screens, and abide by a curfew. Residents live at the home for a year at which time they are placed in permanent housing.

    Would any hand-knit items be helpful for your resident; e.g., scarves, hats, small blankets, washcloths, soap sacks, hair scrunches, slippers? I lead knitting groups for charity looking for local places. Thank you!
