NVFS offers a wide range of services across the region, from emergency food and shelter to health care access to job training.
With 92 beds, the SERVE Family Shelter is Northern Virginia's largest family homeless shelter; more than 40 percent of the residents are children. NVFS also helps families and individuals with housing and homelessness prevention, including rent and utility assistance to avoid evictions and disconnections.
The SERVE campus houses a variety of programs that help neighbors receive the immediate assistance they need, such as food and shelter, and develop the potential for future success, including rapid re-housing, health access and services for children.
Mission Statement: To empower individuals and families to improve their quality of life, and to promote community cooperation and support in responding to family needs.
