Description

Pathways is a United Way agency that serves 1,300 women and children experiencing homelessness in the Birmingham area each year.

Safe Haven is the only program of its kind for women in the state of Alabama. It began in 2006 and can house 10 women at a time. Safe Haven provides a small, homelike environment for chronically homeless women with a mental illness while offering supportive services. Guests in this program can stay at Pathways indefinitely.
