Description

The Diane Peppler Resource Center provides a safe, secure, and supportive environment for survivors of domestic violence and their families. Survivors are given the opportunity to gain an understanding of domestic abuse, have their questions answered, and explore their options.

Domestic violence is a pattern of behaviors used to intimidate and establish power and control over an intimate partner. These behaviors include fear, threats of violence, physical and/or sexual abuse, verbal or economic abuse.

Domestic violence is tied to the belief that one person has the right and privilege to dominate another through whatever means necessary. This need for power and control over another may include not only the intimate partner, but also familial, elder and child abuse. Anyone present in the home will be touched by the violence.
